socktober sock(s)

Well, I almost had them both done. But then I tried on the second sock and realized that I had knit it waaaayyyyy tighter than the first. So last night I ripped it all out.

Here's what they looked like before the ripping:The sock on the bottom is the completed one and the sock on the top is the now non-existent one. I restarted it though this morning on the Metro.

Here are the details for now:
Pattern: Alison's ankle socks
Yarn: Socks that rock in Cobalt Bloom from my ksks swap partner
Needles: 4 DPN's in US 3.

Remarks: I really like everything about this project so far. I love the sock that I've made so far and it's possible that you can sometimes find me walking around the house with this sock on. I am a fan of DPN's now too. In the past I have always used the Magic Loop method for stuff like this and my one DPN experience didn't work out that well (it was for the Shining Star hat, which starts out at the top with one stitch per DPN - that's where my problem was). I am only mildly entertained by the short row toes and heels, but I think that is only because I haven't mastered them yet. I hope. Most of all though I LOVE the socks that rock yarn. I've found a yarn store near where we are moving and I know for a fact that they stock the Socks that Rock.

Now, do you think I can finish the other sock by Tuesday? I only have to prepare for moving and run a 10k. No problemo. HA!

Look at those cute ankle socks! What do you mean you can't run a 10k and knit a sock... come on! smile. Glad you like the yarn. Wish I lived near a store that stocked it.
